Finding Speakers for Schools
The website ScienceLive aims to provide an easily searchable database of speakers, presenters and workshop deliverers who can go into schools to speak enthusiastically and engagingly about science.
Teachers wishing to find a suitable speaker to give a talk on a physics or careers related topic should search on the website www.sciencelive.net and select ‘physical processes’. The resulting search will list the appropriate speakers and their areas of expertise. Contact potential speakers directly using the contact details given for availability and further information.
It is hoped that this online database will eventually replace the current Physics in Person booklet in providing a gateway for teachers to access speakers who can stimulate their students’ interest in the physical sciences.
